Our story
Our story began in a bed in Minnesota. I was bedridden for almost a month with some significant health challenges, and I had a lot of time to think. Somewhere in there, an idea took hold. What if I could help churches lead their kids in worship?
I'd spent years on staff as a full-time kids worship leader before stepping away, burnt out. Kids ministry is hard. And while there are plenty of resources out there claiming to make it easier, in my experience very few actually help, especially when it comes to worship.
So I started wondering if what I'd learned leading kids bands and services could be useful to churches beyond my own. Lying in that bed, I had no idea how it would work, or whether there was even a need. But step by step, God opened each door in His timing.
Trent, Tyler, and Nic heard the dream and wanted in. Kidmin Collective was born, and we started partnering with churches to strengthen their worship culture and raise up leaders who love God and want others to know Him too.
We're still early in this journey. But we have big dreams: to bring many kids and families into the Kingdom of God.

What we believe
Kids can truly worship.
When we give kids songs they understand and space to respond, they don't just sing along, they genuinely meet with God. We refuse to treat kids worship as babysitting with a soundtrack.
The gospel is the point.
Everything we make points back to Jesus. Our goal isn't just great songs or smooth services, it's kids and families living fully devoted lives following Jesus Christ.
Strong leaders build strong ministries.
Ministries aren't built on curriculum. They're built on leaders. When you invest in healthy, competent leaders, they change your ministry and your community.
Lyrics are formational.
Catchy melodies aren't enough. The words kids sing form them. We take that seriously, working hard to make sure every lyric is gospel centered and helps kids build a foundation of faith that lasts.
Burnout isn't the price of ministry.
We've lived the exhaustion, and we don't accept it as normal. Healthy leaders build healthy ministries, and we build tools that lighten the load.
We're not dancers.
Actions shouldn't feel like choreography. If a kid, a volunteer, or the least coordinated person in the room can't follow along the first time they hear the song, we've made it too complicated.
